LET´S START WITH HISTORY

Finca Las Mercedes consists of 15 hectares of a family run & operated farm. In the coffee tour we start walking in our coffee plantations that are intercropped with avocado trees and ”guineo” plants to provide a half shaded and a more balanced environment for our plantations. As a family we have grown coffee for the past 50 years and we are now the third generation of producers.

You will immerse in the experience of our everyday farm and will explain in the simplest way how our agricultural practices and production of coffee is focused in order to get a higher quality product. It is selectively and manually harvested to then be processed with all the specific care and attention in order to offer a coffee distinguished by aroma, flavor, character and absence of defect.

INMMERSE IN OUR EVERYDAY FARM LIFE

Las Mercedes specialty coffee is grown surrounded by the mountains of Tarrazú, providing the ideal altitude to develop a clean acidity and unique flavors that distinguish the taste of specialty coffee. Characterized by our artisanal process, each grain is handpicked, and sun dried through a delicate and soft process that aims to maintain every floral, herbal and fruity note.

Our coffee tour aims to show the whole process behind a cup of coffee, our tour ends with a tasting in our special cafetería between coffee plantations, there we will offer different varieties and process of coffee that provide unique flavors and aromas typical of specialty coffee.
